Kale Pizza

Saturday, May 23, 2015

Hello dotted bow readers!
Todays post is going to be a simple, quick and delicious kale pizza. The idea to put kale on pizza came from my recent trip to whole foods. I ate a crispy kale pizza with a white sauce and it was amazing. I have yet to try the whole food version and the one I tried is just a fresh veggie with a lot of kale. Trust me, the kale really is the star here. One thing that you need to make sure when cooking kale is to cook the pizza first with the veggie and than the last 10-15 min add the kale. You want to make sure that the kale does not get fully brown but rather the edges should be brown and crispy.

First step, tomato sauce. I am a big believer that you should NOT buy store bought sauce. That is a big NO for me. Pizza sauce is EASY to make and when you make it at home, its fresh and the taste really  makes a difference in the pizza. Here, I have made a very simple sauce. Two ripe tomatoes chopped, 6 basil leaves, cilantro, olive oil, salt, pepper, and any dried herbs in your cabinet. Let the sauce simmer on medium to low heat for 10- 15 min.

Juicing: Green Juice

Monday, May 18, 2015

 Hello dottedbow readers!
I am really excited about todays post, even though I seem to say that about every post. I am finally talking about juicing. For the past year, I have been a BIG fan of cold pressed drinks. I was religiously drinking Suja green essential drink for about two months. Suja is a cold pressed drink brand and although they are great, there drinks are really expensive ($5). Therefore, I bought a juicer and you won't believe how inexpensive I got it for.....$29.00. Yes, you read that right only $29. It is the the brand  Black Decker and you can get it from Amazon or Target. Because of its price, there is mixed reviews on this particular brand. However, I have used it three times and I am really impressed with it. Of course, you can not open a store using it neither can you make buckets and buckets of juice. The reality of it is if you are new to juicing, this is perfect to start with. Easy to use, easy to clean( I think so), and is inexpensive. Pretty much, it does the job and if your thinking of buying one I recommend that you look into this particular brand!

Radha Beauty: Retinol Cream

Saturday, May 9, 2015

Hello Beauties!! It's that time again... review time!!!

Okay , I can not believe I am saying this but I think I found my my favorite night cream (Eeek I said it). But seriously, I am obsessed and I didn't realize the impact it had on my skin until I went without it for two months. I am not kidding when I say my skin for one month was really bad. My skin care routine changed because I finished my products and did not repurchase them. Therefore, I found myself playing with different products was not consistent with any. However, it was not only the products. Last 3 weeks were Law School Finals ( I am made it..phew). I love law school( that's weird, right?) and finals were overwhelming mentally and physically on me. I am always mentally drained and of course, that effects sleeping habits, eating habits, and exercise habits. Side note: please let me know if you are interested  on a whole post about law school because I would love to do one. I know that there is a lot of information on the internet ( a lot of it being negative). However, I feel that I want to shed light on my incredible experience as a 1L and any tips that might help any one of you thinking about going.
