Skin | Farmacy New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains
Happy Monday

Today's post is a skin care review on the Farmacy New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains.  If you have been reading my blog for awhile, then you already know that I am really into skincare. I enjoy learning about ingredients and testing out different skin care brands. Since I am in that post acne stage, my main skin care concern is hyper-pigmentation. The essential products that I look for and use to address hyper-pigmentation, and uneven skin texture are:

1. Exfoliators
2. Brightening Serums
3. Sunscreen
4. Brightening Masks

I already have a post addressing the importance of sunscreen, here. So today's post is on exfoliating, specifically manual exfoliators. If you did not know already, there are two forms exfoliating.

1. Chemical: Which is in the form of acids, and the most common one are Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) such as  Glycolic Acid, Citric Lactic Acid and Malic acid. AHAs are molecules that penetrate the upper layer of your skin and helps to dissolve the dead skin cells and also help promote cell regeneration.

2. Manual: Scrubs that have grains that help to remove dead skin cells and reveal brighter skin and diminish acne scars.

Personally, I enjoy using both manual and chemical exfoliators because they are effective, and I see great results. Exfoliating can improve the absorption of other skin care products such as serums and moisturizers.  Of course, when using any exfoliators, moderations is essential to avoid stripping your skin too much and irritating it. Now, when it comes to manual exfoliators such as scrubs that contain beads or grains; I am very picky about which ones I use. I try to avoid large beads or grains in my exfoliators since it is too harsh causes irritation and aggravates my skin.

Recently I got to try the Farmacy New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains. This is my second skincare product that I tried out from Farmacy Skin care line. I first was introduced to the brand when I got to try the The Farmacy Hydrating Coconut Gel Masks which are AMAZING. Since then, I have repurchased the masks twice. Really love them! So I had  high expectations for the New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains, since I loved those Hydrating Coconut Gel Masks. I can go and on all about my love for those masks, but I wont. So if you have not read my review on the masks, check here. Also, for Cyber Monday you can use the code THANKS  and get15% off your entire order with Free Shipping within the US. Great deal, get yourself some of those masks, the exfoliating grains and some holiday gifts.

Packaging:
The product comes in a plastic packaging with a wooden screw off cap.  You dispense the product through a circle opening. I am not the biggest fan of the way you dispense the product only because I have trouble controlling the amount of product I want to use. I tend to always pour more than I want, and that results in wasting.

Skin | Farmacy New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains

My Experience:
I have been using this for over three weeks mostly in the mornings. However, sometimes I do use it at night.  How to use: I Pour a small amount of the grains - about the size of a quarter - into palm and blend with a few drops of water. I mix until a smooth, foaming paste forms. I then massage onto skin with gentle circular sweeping motions. I then rinse with tepid water and pat dry. I like that the paste lathers really well and the natural cranberry seeds helps gently exfoliate the face. When I rinse my face, my skin feels fresh and clean. Also, the Gentle Exfoliating grains did not strip my skin of its natural oils. The product smells fresh and non-offensive. The Natural Cranberry seeds are not abrasive on my skin. After three weeks of using it consistently every day, I can say that my skin feels great. It helped even out my skin texture, and I also noticed that It helped prepare my skin for serums and creams because the cranberry seeds help to clean deep the skin.

Final Thoughts:
I love this product. Highly recommend the Farmacy New day Gentle Exfoliating Grains. This product cleanses my skin and at the same time gently exfoliates. My skin does not feel irritated or dry.  I am really impressed with this product and will continue to be using it daily. If you are looking for a cleanser as well as a gentle exfoliator, check out the Farmacy New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains. Especially since we are in the cooler weather, exfoliating really helps with removing dead skin cells and dry patch areas. I love that that I can use this product daily because there are a lot of exfoliators that are too harsh for me to use daily.  This product contains high-quality, effective ingredients, and I will be checking more products from the Farmacy Skincare line.

NBC heroes reborn

Happy Thanksgiving

It’s Getting Cold Outside and my favorite way to unwind after a long day is with a hot cup of coffee, cozy blanket, and my laptop to watch my favorite NBC shows. It is no surprise that I am TV show addict, and I am sure many of you guys can second that. Even though I am busy, I will find time to catch up and NBC TVE helps with that. You can watch now on your laptop anytime and anywhere, by just pressing play, that simple. So convenient and easy to watch full episodes online, like the Voice, Blacklist or Chicago Fire. Honestly, I rarely watch TV, my laptop has become my TV. I love to snack on popcorn and homemade brownies while I catch up on my shows.

There are so many shows that I am currently enjoying and one them is HEROES REBORN
NBC heroes reborn
Where do I start? If you watched NBC’s original critically-acclaimed 2006 “Heroes” series and were a total fan, then you must have been so excited to hear about the Heroes Sequel, Heroes Reborn. This Heroes Sequel is an epic 13-episode event series that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities.  The show starts off a year after a tragic attack in Odessa, Texas, which left the city decimated. Blamed for the tragic event, those with extraordinary abilities are in hiding or on the run from those with nefarious motives. While in hiding, some are discovering their newfound skills.

The original Heroes series had a great story line that kept you coming back for more and the sequel, Heroes Reborn, is just that. It is exciting and action packed.   I love that they kept some of the familiar Characters from the original Heroes, like Noah Bennet and featured others like Hiro Nakamura and Matt Parkman. With each episode, you get hooked, and the characters grow on you.  I love it! The best part is that I never have to miss an episode because I can just catch up on NBC TVE and watch full episodes.

Almond Vanilla Cake

Almond Vanilla Cake
Happy Tuesday

Today's post is an Almond Vanilla Cake recipe that is inspired by the Nourish Organic Almond Vanilla Scent Collection.

The past year, I have dabbled into more natural and organic products.  It was my obsession to try and clear my skin that initially sparked my interest. However, it was my research on organic products; that led me to want to learn more. Recently, I have been pushing myself to be more conscious of the products that I am allowing to penetrate deep into my skin.  I have mentioned many times that I try to shop for ingredients rather than brand or claims. Making an effort to be aware of the top 5 ingredients on the product list is important. This is because the higher the ingredient is on the list, the higher concentration it will be in the product.

A couple of months ago, I received a deluxe sample of the Nourish Organic Avocado Eye Cream in my IPSY Glam Bag and fell in love with it. It is very hydrating but not greasy. I purchased the full size and I was very surprised that it is 100% Natural USDA- Certified Organic product. It contains avocado oil, Moroccan oil and Shea butter which are fantastic and effective ingredients.

Nourish Organic kindly sent me some products, and I am so ecstatic about them. I got to try the body cream, shower cream, and deodorant from the Almond Vanilla Scent Collection.  First of all, these Nourish Organic products smell so delicious, like Almond CAKE delicious!  Two, all of their products are free of:

- Parabens
- Mineral Oil
- Aluminum
-Artificial Fragrance
- Preservatives
- Synthetic Dyes
- Sulfates
Nourish Organic Almond Vanilla Scent Collection Review

Almond Vanilla Cake

During the fall and winter, I prefer to use shower creams over shower gels. Shower creams are moisturizing, and the Nourish Organic Almond Vanilla Shower Cream is exactly that. Highly recommend checking it out.

One word: AMAZING! This lotion impressed me the most. It left my skin so hydrated and smooth. I live in the south, so the freezing weather has begun. My usual lotion, I would have to reapply many times, and my hands would still feel dry. For some reason, this lotion left my skin hydrated and no greasy. The first ingredient on the list is Organic Aloe, which replenishes moisture.

This was my first time trying an organic deodorant and I am hooked. It is a perfect everyday deodorant cream, smells like dessert and is aluminum free. I actually have this in my purse and I would apply extra throughout the day.  Highly recommend checking this one out!

Marble Bundt Cake
Happy Wednesday

Today's post I am going to share my favorite Marble Bundt Cake recipe and a Mocha Latte recipe. Because there is no such thing as too much chocolate. This cake is so delicious and growing up my mom would always make this during the holidays. It looks pretty and tastes even better. This marble cake is a crowd pleaser and perfect to make for this Thanksgiving or any holiday coming up. If you are a chocolate lover like me, then serve this marble cake with a cup of hot mocha latte, and  I promise that your family will be thanking you. To make this cake, I headed to my local Big Lots. I love heading to Big Lots during the Holidays it is always my first stop. They have everything I need. I loving purchasing decor, gifts, baking pans, and anything that catches my eyes when I walk down the aisles. During my latest trip to Big Lots, I picked up some ingredients and extras to make this delicious Marble Bundt cake. I got walnuts, flour, sugar, all natural semi-sweet chocolate, cinnamon sticks, a bundt cake pan and decorative plates. The decor at Big Lots are always fantastic, great prices and great quality. The plates I got are beautiful, festive and perfect placed on the dining table for the Holidays. When I was at Big Lots Shopping,  I did not know what color plate to pick, since there were so many and one of the Big Lots Associates kindly recommended I get the gold and silver, and I could not agree more.  The Marble cake looked beautiful on the silver plate. Also, I couldn't resist, and I had to pick up a candle.  Styles and assortments vary by store, so check out your local Big Lots for Holiday decor.  Let us get into how to make this Marble Bundt Cake!!
